Our Trip to PA
We went up to PA to visit our friends from the Philippines. They were from my branch and they came over to the US early this year. I was very excited to see them! So we left the day after Christmas. We had a 5 hour drive ahead of us so we decided to stop by Jon's Uncle in Maryland since it's already on the way. Plus Jon's cousin Andrew is in town visiting so we definately had to see him! We got there about 10:30 and stayed till 12:30. We were so worried about driving for that long with 2 kiddos so we left at nap time. And guess what, both of them slept all the way to PA! We didn't have to stop at all! So we got to PA around 3:30 and that's when our adventure started. The next three and a half hours were spent driving around to find an address that apparently didn't exist according to the locals. We finally bought a map instead of relying on our mapquest printout. Wouldn't you know it we were about 40 miles away where we would have been which explains why no one knows where we were. After all the troubles we finally arrived at our friends' house at 8:15. Talk about a LONG day.
We spent a total of 3 days in PA. We even went to the Great Wolf lodge which was totally fun for everyone! We stayed there for the night. PA being a land of pot holes one of our front tires got a hole in it and we had to replace both our front tires before we could come home. Other than that, we had a great time and can't wait to visit them again SOON! (The kids even slept all the way home)
Christmas Fun!
That was fast! Christmas is over already! Im sad because that means I would have to take all my decors down :( Not so fun! Anyways, Christmas day was totally fun! We waited till everybody was awake then we opened our presents! We decorated some gingerbread men and spent the rest of the day playing with our new things! It was such a relaxing Christmas day!

Permanent Resident at Last!
This is a very great news for me! I finally got my green card in the mail last week! I was sooo excited to open the envelope when I saw where the letter was from. Coming over here (LEGALLY anyway!) meant tons of paper work to do and money to be able to do it. That's why it was such a relief when I finally got my card. What this would mean is that I am now a permanent resident of this country. I can travel abroad (for less than a year) and not have to worry about coming back. This also means that I won't have to worry about renewing anytime soon because the green card I have is good for 10 years! I will just have to renew it after 10 years but it won't affect my status.
So for the next ten years, I just have to stay away from trouble and be a good resident (otherwise they might just change their mind, haha).

Gimme a Break!
Jon has been going to school since summer. And of course you probably have an idea of how hard it is when he is not home. It has been very difficult (for me) especially when Nathan was born. I am trying to do my best to support my dear husband but I just can't wait for his school to be over! He is such a great husband and father despite not having enough quality time with us. He goes to school three times a week and when he's not at school he is down in the office burning his eyebrows off with homeworks and studying for tests. Sooo, I am so very excited, in two weeks we will have him all to ourselves!!!

Oh Christmas Tree!
Yep, the Tross family christmas tree is up! I was able to control myself and didn't put the tree out until the sunday before thanksgiving. And I think that is going to be the tradition here. I know some of you think I am crazy. But where I grew up, christmas songs are playing, decorations are up and so is the tree as early as September. Talk about self control! (Besides, Jon wouldn't let me 8-))
